FAQ

Quick answers to the most common questions about Topaz, the airdrop, the sacrifice, and how participation works.

What is Topaz?

Topaz is a ve(3,3)-style AMM and liquidity governance protocol on BNB Chain. TOPAZ token holders lock for veTOPAZ and vote on which pools receive emissions. Projects bribe for votes. LPs earn emissions; voters earn trading fees and bribes. See the Overview for the full picture.

When does mainnet launch?

Topaz deploys to BNB Chain on May 17, 2026. TOPAZ initial liquidity and trading begin in a stealth launch on May 18 or 19, 2026. The sacrifice opened April 24, 2026 at 18:00 UTC and closes ahead of mainnet. Stealth launch timing is announced on @TopazDex and Telegram. The testnet at app.topazdex.com is live now.

How does the airdrop work?

Airdrop qualification was based on a snapshot of qualifying activity across Abstract and BNB Chain — the snapshot is complete and allocations are final. Qualification signals included Abstract ecosystem activity, BNB ecosystem activity and target token holdings, and an engagement boost for wallets linked to the gBLUE Telegram bot at snapshot. The Airdrop Checker lets you look up any wallet's allocation; signing in with a qualifying wallet lets you set its destination address.

Check any address
You can enter any wallet address into the checker to see its allocation — no sign-in required for read-only lookups.

Do I need to do anything to receive the airdrop?

Yes — for every qualifying wallet you control, you must sign in on the Profile page and set a destination address on BNB Chain. This is essentially how you accept the airdrop: distribution is sent automatically to whatever destination is set when destinations lock. There is no on-chain claim afterwards, but a wallet with no destination set at lock time forfeits its allocation.

Destinations lock 48 hours before distribution
Up until the lock you can change a wallet's destination freely. After the lock, that destination is permanent and the allocation is sent there at distribution. Pick an address you control and will continue to control long-term.

Can I use Abstract Global Wallet (AGW)?

Yes — you can sign in to the airdrop checker with AGW and use AGW to participate in the sacrifice on Abstract. The one constraint: AGW accounts don't exist on BNB Chain, so when you set your destination it must be a non-AGW EVM address (a regular wallet like MetaMask, Rabby, hardware wallet, etc.) that you control on BNB Chain. The Profile page enforces this when you set the destination.

What if I have multiple qualifying wallets?

Each wallet is handled independently — there is no account-level linking. Connect each wallet to the Profile page, set its destination, sign out, and repeat with the next. Different wallets can point at the same destination address, so all your veTOPAZ can still arrive in one place.

What is the Sacrifice Event?

The Sacrifice is a contribution window that opens April 24, 2026 at 18:00 UTC on Abstract. Every dollar sacrificed is credited at a fixed rate of $0.005 per veTOPAZ, added to your airdrop allocation and distributed to your destination wallet on BNB Chain when the protocol deploys. A total of 150,000,000 veTOPAZ is available globally, with a per-wallet cap of 10,000,000 veTOPAZ. Accepted assets are gBLUE ($25 per token), DEPTH ($0.60 per token), and USDC ($1). All three can be sacrificed in a single transaction. Full mechanics are on the Sacrifice Event page, or jump straight to the Sacrifice page to participate.

Sacrifice is only available on Abstract chain. Bridge to Abstract using relay.link or stargate.finance.

Will there be audits?

Yes — all launch-critical contracts (sacrifice, core DEX, gauges, voter) will be audited before handling mainnet funds. Audit status and reports are published on the Security page as they complete.

Where do I get help?

Fastest: ask in Telegram. Follow @TopazDex for announcements. Do not DM anyone claiming to be team — we will never ask for seed phrases, private keys, or approvals.
