Stake xTOPAZ and vote

On a Topaz spoke, stake xTOPAZ in the local voting vault to direct that network's gauge emissions and claim fees and incentives from the pools you vote for. This is voting-capital staking. LP gauge staking is a separate action that earns emissions.

Local voting is live. Stake xTOPAZ on Robinhood Chain, Base, Ethereum or Arc, then vote and claim local fees and incentives. Each action checks ownership, epoch rules and current contract conditions before signing. Network availability.

Each stake is a position

A position has an owner, an xTOPAZ amount, a local integer ID, a vote allocation and an unlockAt date. No ERC-721 NFT is minted. One wallet can own several positions with different dates and allocations.

Voting power equals the xTOPAZ amount staked in that position. It does not decay with time and is not multiplied by the TOPAZ-per-share rate. Position IDs are local to their chain and voting vault; position 12 on Base is not position 12 on Robinhood or BNB veTOPAZ NFT 12.

Open a stake or add to one

Choose a network and enter the liquid xTOPAZ amount to stake. The form shows the deployed minimum and withdrawal date. Review once: Topaz requests an unlimited xTOPAZ approval to that network's voting vault if needed, waits for confirmation, then automatically checks and simulates the stake before asking your wallet to send it. Approvals do not have a separate simulation step. Your wallet confirms each transaction.

Money entering a position sets its withdrawal date to the start of the epoch after the next configured number of full epochs. With the default lockEpochs = 1, a stake opened in epoch N unlocks at the start of N+2. This is roughly 7–14 days, depending on when you enter, plus any voting restrictions that apply at exit.

For example, funds added on Tuesday September 8, 2026 are in the epoch beginning September 3. With the default setting, their date is Thursday September 17 at 00:00 UTC. If the position is voting, the first-hour restriction also applies.

Adding to an old position can relock its entire balance. Opening a new position keeps the old position's date separate. Only the owner or authorized operator can add to an existing position; a third party staking for you opens a new one and cannot extend an old position with dust.

Cast local votes

  1. Select the spoke and position, then compare that chain's live pools and available rewards.
  2. Allocate percentages across its gauges. Check the local Voter's maximum pool count, live gauge state and voting window.
  3. Review the resulting weights and the source of each reward estimate. Unknown prices or failed reads are unavailable, not zero.
  4. Refresh and simulate the next call before confirming. Changed values require a fresh review.

Voting opens after the first hour of the Thursday epoch and normally closes one hour before the next rollover. Each position can cast one vote per epoch. Existing allocations carry over; a poke refreshes their weight. Resetting requires the previous vote to be from an earlier epoch. Voting and claiming do not extend the withdrawal date.

What a voter receives

Voters claim local pool fees and the tokens posted as local incentives after the reward epoch ends. Open a stake and select Claim rewards to review fees and incentives together. One confirmation starts the sequence; each claim is checked and simulated before sending. Confirmed claims are excluded from later steps. Merely staking without voting does not allocate to a pool. xTOPAZ backing can also grow through BNB settlement, but that is reflected in the share rate, not a separate rebase claim on each spoke position.

Local LPs staked in gauges receive the chain's xTOPAZ emissions. Their Emissions APR and your Voter APR measure different cash flows and must not be added together. Rate Definitions.

Withdraw or close

Only the owner can withdraw, after unlockAt and the applicable voting gates. Partial withdrawal rescales existing votes to the remaining balance and leaves the remaining balance's date unchanged. A voting position cannot be fully closed in the epoch it last voted, and withdrawals from voting positions are blocked during the first hour after rollover.

An unlocked position with no active vote does not need a voting reset. Always use the actual position state rather than treating Thursday 01:00 as a universal unlock promise.

Closed position IDs retain their owner so previously earned fees and incentives remain claimable. Expand Closed stakes on the Stakes page to open them and claim rewards after the balance reaches zero. Once withdrawn, the liquid shares can stay on the spoke or bridge through BNB.

Operators, merges and pauses

The contract permits an owner to authorize a vote operator across their positions. Operators can vote, add, merge and claim; rewards pay the owner, and operators cannot withdraw funds. A merge keeps the target's allocation and the later withdrawal date. A source with an active vote must satisfy reset rules.

Operator and merge contracts do not imply a finished interface flow. New stakes and additions can be paused locally, while the existing contract rules continue to govern withdrawals, voting and claims. Admins can configure the lock length for new money up to four full epochs; a zero setting does not erase previously recorded withdrawal dates.
